After making a 12 yard reception against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night, Donald Driver appeared to roll his ankle and was carted off the field. After an initial diagnosis of an ankle injury, time in the locker room with Team doctors the final assessment of foot sprain was reached.
“It’s part of the game. It’s unfortunate(but) hopefully it isn’t serious.” Was Head coach Mike McCarthy’s response after the game.
After a few days of rest, things are looking up however. Ted Thompson told reporters on Friday that Driver was feeling better and team doctors were encouraged. “Fortunately we think we dodged something here.” Thompson stated.
It’s no secret that Driver is the number one threat on what is other wise a fairly young offensive squad. Any time Driver misses could be extremely detrimental to the club.
Here’s hoping Driver makes a quick and full recovery and is back gashing defenses before we know it.
